About - SINCE 2010
The Westwood Chile Fest is a one-day event in the Westwood neighborhood that celebrates Hispanic-centric cultures, making up 80% of this Denver neighborhood, with a strong focus on authentic food and local arts.
Free and open to the public, this celebratory event takes place along the Morrison Road Corridor, an area rich with makers, entrepreneurs, and artisans.
With diverse cultures and partners working together to cultivate this community event along with views of downtown and the Rocky Mountains on Morrison Road, it is no surprise that this event has become a unique community celebration in Denver and a Westwood favorite.

Westwood Chile Fest is produced by BuCu West, a non profit organization focusing on creating economic opportunities for local families. The event benefits the businesses, organizations, and neighborhood participants by celebrating culture, demonstrating a walkable built environment, and providing space for community gathering. The Westwood neighborhood has focused on preserving diversity in cultures through the creation of a linear marketplace along Morrison Road that celebrates culture, local businesses and is pedestrian-friendly. By closing Morrison Road to vehicles and combining a uniquely Westwood mix of vendors and entertainers all of Denver can share in this local vision.

celebrating "Community & Culture"
The Westwood Chile Fest remains an annual event held in the
community of Westwood with a focus on Latin culture and food while showcasing the best of what Westwood has to offer.
The focus of this years’ Westwood Chile Fest is Community & Culture. Like many events in 2020, Westwood Chile Fest was not able to take place due to the pandemic and its effects on community gatherings. Although we could not gather for the festival, we, along with our community members in Westwood, took the time during the pandemic to get to know our neighbors and look at the cultural wealth of our community. Stories told through murals, proud small business owners, and families spanning multiple generations. Now that the gathering restrictions lifted, we invite our community and those from outside Westwood to our Westwood Chile Fest to experience the food, music, and culture that make this part of Denver special.
Likewise, it has always been important that the Chile Fest be inclusive and accommodating to families, especially children and youth.
