ABOUT

About - SINCE 2010

The Westwood Chile Fest is a one-day annual event, free and
open to the public that celebrates Hispanic culture, with a
strong focus on authentic food and the arts. Year after year, the
Westwood Chile Fest brings diverse communities together to
celebrate this up and coming southwest Denver neighborhood.

Free and open to the public, this celebratory event takes place along the Morrison Road Corridor, an area rich with makers, entrepreneurs, and artisans.

With diverse cultures and partners working together to cultivate this community event along with views of downtown and the Rocky Mountains on Morrison Road, it is no surprise that this event has become a unique community celebration in Denver and a Westwood favorite.

Westwood Chile Fest is produced by BuCu West, a non profit organization focusing on creating economic opportunities for local families. The event benefits the businesses, organizations, and neighborhood participants by  celebrating culture, demonstrating a walkable built environment, and providing space for community gathering. The Westwood neighborhood has focused on preserving diversity in cultures through the creation of a linear marketplace along Morrison Road that celebrates culture, local businesses and is pedestrian-friendly. By closing Morrison Road to vehicles and combining a uniquely Westwood mix of vendors and entertainers all of Denver can share in this local vision.

celebrating "Business & Culture"

The Westwood Chile Fest is an annual event celebrating this southwest Denver neighborhood’s Hispanic culture and  showcasing the best of what Westwood has to offer.

This year’s Westwood Chile Fest’s theme is Business & Culture.
The Morrison Road Corridor has a rich collection of businesses --
entrepreneurs, artists, chefs and bakers, stylists, and mechanics -- that pride themselves on their craftsmanship and services. Highlighting these businesses is another step towards putting Westwood on the map and establishing this neighborhood’s unique identity.

Likewise, it has always been important that the Westwood Chile Fest be inclusive and accommodating to families and especially children. While activities in prior years catered to younger  audiences, this year’s activities will be inclusive for the whole family.

COMIDA & BEBIDAS

The Westwood Chile Fest puts a big emphasis on food and drink, particularly the spicy, authentic flavors from various Hispanic cultures. Alongside our classic chile roasting booth, every year we bring in some of the best food trucks in town to our event in order to provide a variety of delicious options for all our guests.

Cold Beer & Beverages will be for sale and served for all ages during the during the event. All proceeds benefit BuCu West and its year-round services and programs.

Westwood Chile Fest focuses on local sourced food products. Throughout the festival you'll find food products produced right here in Westwood and the surrounding neighborhoods.
